Friends of the Woodbury Public Library The Friends of the Woodbury Public Library is a non-profit organization committed to helping our library. The Friends sponsor special programs and promote support for the library throughout the community. Every time you use your library card to check out materials you are benefiting from our great Friends organization. Through the generous efforts of the Friends of the Woodbury Public Library, the library has been able to purchase computers and other equipment, and has added to existing collections such as our Large Print Books, Books on Tape and CD collections. A tremendously successful fund drive sponsored by our Friends organization resulted in donations that went a long way toward furnishing and decorating our new library building. The Friends' current projects are to expand our Large Print collection, sponsor a series of children's art programs, and sponsor a performer for the Summer Children's Program. The anticipated cost is $2000. The Friends publish a newsletter which helps keep our patrons up-to-date on the current Friends' projects and activities. Please pick one up at our Circulation Desk. You can also view the most recent issue of the Friends Newsletter here online. Please note: If you're using a dial-up Internet connection, this page may take a long time to load. The Friends of the Woodbury Public Library meet at the library on the third Wednesday of September, November, February, and April. Meetings are at 7:30 p.m.; they are always looking for new members. If you are interested in meeting some wonderful people and supporting literacy in your hometown, the Friends would love to see you at their next meeting. For for more information please ask at the desk, or call the Library Director, Jean Wipf, at (856) 845-2611.
