The Friends of the Woodbury Public Library group is a non-profit organization committed to helping our library. The Friends sponsor special programs and promote support for the library throughout the community. Every time you use your library card to check out materials you are benefiting from our great Friends organization.

Through the generous efforts of the Friends of the Woodbury Public Library, the library has been able to purchase computers and other equipment, and has added to existing collections such as our Large Print Books, Books on Tape and CD collections. A tremendously successful fund drive sponsored by our Friends organization resulted in donations that went a long way toward furnishing and decorating our new library building.

One of the Friends' current projects is to bring downloadable audio-books and eBooks to library patrons by subscribing to OverDrive, the leading distributor of digital media content to libraries. Other Friends' projects include sponsoring adult and children's programming at the library.

The Friends publish a newsletter which helps keep our patrons up-to-date on the current Friends' projects and activities. Please pick one up at our Circulation Desk. You can also view the most recent issue of the Friends Newsletter here online.

The Friends of the Woodbury Public Library meet at the library on the third Wednesday of October, January and April. Meetings are at 8:00 p.m. The Friends are always looking for new members.  If you're interested in meeting some wonderful people and supporting literacy in your hometown, the Friends would love to see you at their next meeting. Or you can join now -- click here for a printable membership form. For for more information please ask at the library's circulation desk, or call Jean Wipf at (856) 845-2611.
