The Woodbury Public Library offers a number of fun and educational children's programs. Roxanne Long, our Children's Librarian, conducts a variety of children's programming throughout the year.

During the school year:

Beginning on December 13th, the library will present a weekly story time for mothers, fathers and infants ages 0 - 2. The program will be held on Thursdays from 1:00 to 1:30, and will include parent-child interaction in the form of picture books, songs and nursery rhymes. Initiate your baby into the wonderful world of books!

For children ages 3 to 5 we have an afternoon story hour at 1:00 p.m. every Wednesday, as well as Thursday morning programs at 10:30 a.m.

For school-age children (ages 5 to 10) we have a children's program every Wednesday afternoon at 3:30 p.m. Children will enjoy games, crafts and snacks.

Kids in grades 1 through 5 can become Junior Master Gardeners - or just have fun with plants! Join us every Thursday from 3:00 to 5:00 PM. The Gloucester County Master Gardeners will provide projects such as indoor planting, making homes for wildlife and much more.  1

Every Tuesday is a Terrific Tuesday! From 3:00 to 4:00 PM, kids in grades 6 and up will enjoy creative projects, crafts, and snacks. Then from 4:00 to 5:00 there's a second session, for kids in grades 1 through 5. This program is free, of course -- but call the library at 845-2611 to sign up.  2

Young adults ages 12 and up are invited to join our TextTwisters group. We will enjoy a different activity each week, including creative writing, game days, book talks, special community projects and much more.

Our Children's Librarian is available for visits to school classrooms any time during the school year. Teachers or school administrators, please call the library at (856) 845-2611 for more information or to arrange a visit!

Please call the library at 845-2611 for more information about joining any of our groups.

Summer Program:

The Library conducts a 6 week Summer Program every year in July and August. Groups for kids aged 5 - 10 meet Wednesdays at 10:30 am, 1:00 pm, and 3:00 pm. Ages 3 - 5 will have programs on Thursdays at 10:30 am. The theme for the upcoming season's program is not yet announced, but watch this space for details!

Classroom Visits:

Our Children's Librarian, Roxanne Long, is available for visits to school classrooms any time during the school year. Teachers or school administrators, please call the library at (856) 845-2611 for more information or to arrange a visit!
