Afternoon Book Discussion Group

April 10, 2018 in Adults

04/10/2018 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

April’s Tuesday afternoon discussion book is Hillbilly Elegy: A Memoir of a Family and Culture in Crisis by J.D. Vance

From Goodreads:

“‘From a former Marine and Yale Law School Graduate, a poignant account of growing up in a poor Appalachian town, that offers a broader, probing look at the struggles of America’s white working class. Part memoir, part historical and social analysis, J. D. Vance’s Hillbilly Elegy is a fascinating consideration of class, culture, and the American dream.”

The Library offers two monthly book discussion groups. The afternoon group meets at 1:00 pm on the second Tuesday of each month.  Our meetings are very informal and a lot of fun. There are plenty of laughs to go along with the discussion, and a variety of opinions on the latest book we’ve read. Both groups are open to all adults, and the library can obtain a copy of the book selection for all interested participants. We love newcomers — join us!
