Entrepreneurship 101

June 1, 2017 in Adults

06/01/2017 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Starting a small business is a rewarding but risky proposition. Before you hang the “
Open for Business” sign or get in too deep in your new venture, you should take an honest look at your preparedness to succeed.

Join non-profit economic development corporation UCEDC at the Woodbury Public Library for a free workshop that will guide you through the assessment
process and introduce you to the tools you’ll need to start and grow your business.  After this workshop you’ll be better prepared to:

* Determine if you have the traits necessary to be a business owner

* Identify your strengths and weaknesses and how they fit with business ownership

* Assess the feasibility of your business idea within your targeted market

* Conduct market research, business planning, and financial projections

Also on hand to talk about their experience starting and running a business will be Woodbury business owners, including those from McArt à la Carte and Studio 240.

Registration required. Call the library or register with Event Brite. Event will be held in City Council Chambers (2nd floor)
