Library Elf

Library Elf:  Your Personal Reminder Service

What is it?

Are you constantly trying to keep track of what you – or your kids — have checked out at the library?  Do you hate paying fines because you forgot when your material was due? Would you like an email or text-message alert when a book you put on hold becomes available? If so, the Library ELF can help!

Woodbury Public Library cardholders with access to email may now register with Library ELF, a free service designed for busy library users that allows you to:

  • Receive email or text-message notices of items before they become due
  • View the due dates of various items in a calendar format
  • Be notified of holds as they become available
  • Consolidate your library accounts or those of your entire family
  • and much more!

How do I get it?

Registering with Library ELF is free and easy. Woodbury Public Library cardholders can click here to sign up, or go to, click on ‘Sign Up’, and then just follow the on-screen directions. Be sure that  ‘NJ – Woodbury Public Library’ is selected from the drop-down list of libraries, and have your library card handy. If you want to receive notifications for other family members, you’ll need their library card barcode numbers, too. The LOGIN Consortium does not currently use PINs for online catalog access, so just leave the field labeled ‘Library Card PIN’ blank.
