Back to School:  An Update For Parents

Back to school is an exciting and busy time, including at the Library! Here is what you need to know about your child’s use of the Library as we enter the 2017-18 school year.

Please be advised that our Rules Governing the Use of the Library as well as our Computer Use Policies have changed.

Students under the age of 8 must be accompanied by an adult while in the Library. Students ages 8 and up may use the Library by themselves provided they abide by the Rules Governing the Use of the Library.

Students ages 8 and up may now automatically use the Library’s computers provided they have a valid Library Card. If your child does not currently have a Library Card, a parent or guardian may apply for a membership on their behalf at our Circulation Desk. Library Cards are free of charge; replacement cards are $3.

As a reminder, as with all of our library materials, parents or guardians and not the Library or its staff are responsible for the material that is accessed by                                                                                 their children. We thank you in advance for your cooperation in helping to make our Library a safe and welcoming space!

Pay it Forward: Eclipse Glasses

Wondering what to do with those eclipse glasses now that the big event is over? Join The Woodbury Public Library and Astronomers Without Borders in paying it forward by returning your eclipse glasses back to us. Drop your used eclipse glasses off at our circulation desk on your next Library visit and help us spread science across the globe!

For more info, stop by the desk, call the library, or check out the Library’s calendar. All programs are free and proof of residency is not required.
